Golf was clearly invented by Scottish guys drinking a lot of whiskey. They wanted a new game where you hit a ball into a gopher hole. But instead of making it easy like pool or croquet, they put the hole hundreds of yards away.  They added obstacles like tall grass, bushes, and trees just to make you lose your ball. Every time you miss a swing and feel like you are having a heart attack, you remember why the score is called a "stroke".  At the very end of the field, they put a flat patch of grass with a little flag to give you false hope. Right next to it, they added a pond and a sandbox to steal your ball away. Then, they make you do it 18 times. And then added over 600 Rules of the game..  Welll we here at SnappyPants only care about the finer points of Golf..  Like getting a hole in one with Lacy Underalls..
